TECUMSEH - Janice "Jan" Ellen Ruttofsky, age 74, of Tecumseh passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Pro Medica Herrick Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 22, 1940, in Ypsilanti, Mich., [sic] to Olin and Carrie (Coffey) Collins. Jan had been employed with GM-Fisher Body & Power train until her retirement in 2007. 

Jan loved spending time with her family and babysitting her great granddaughters. 


She enjoyed Elvis, gardening, classic cars and reading, and was an avid supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. 

Jan is survived by her son, John Sackreiter of New Jersey; daughter, Jeanette (Jim) Snyder of Palmyra, Mich.; brother, Eldra Collins of Somerset, Ky.; sister Joyce Guenther of Saline, Mich.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Kruger of Adrian, Scott (Kimberly) Russell of Clarksville, Tenn., and Ashley Cyrus, Kassie Cyrus and Shelby Myers, all of Ohio; five great grand children, Dezarai Russell, Avaha Russell, Emily-Rose Kruger, Riley-Ki Russell and Allison Kruger; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loved one, Doug Ruttofsky of Tecumseh. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-inlaw, Roland Guenther. 

Funeral services for Jan will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Dave Bucholtz officiating. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
