STAUNTON -- Erskine Hop Coffey Sr., of 98 Lorway Farm Lane, died Thursday (March 25, 2004) at his home. He was born April 20, 1924, at Montebello, to Massey Franklin and Sadie (Campbell) Coffey. He owned and operated E.H. Coffey Inc.

Mr. Coffey was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Karene Yvonne (Taylor) Coffey. Survivors include two sons, Roger Dale Coffey of Woodstock and Erskine H. Coffey Jr. of Bentonville; a daughter, DeJuana Smelser of Missouri; two stepdaughters, Debbie Brown of Stuarts Draft and Teresa Cash of Staunton; a brother, Davis Coffey of Orange; and a sister, Lorraine Fitzgerald of Waynesboro.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Old Providence Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 this evening at Henry Funeral Home.

Erskine Hop Coffey and Clara Ethel Campbell were married on 7 February 1944 in Augusta Co., VA. They were separated in March 1973 in Virginia and were divorced 5 December 1975 in Warren Co., VA.30038 Clara Ethel Campbell, daughter of William B. Campbell and Lena B. Bryant, was born on 7 February 1923 in Massies Mill, Nelson Co, VA.

Roger Dale Coffey was born on 3 January 1947 in Front Royal, Warren Co., VA. Roger died in Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., WV on 9 April 2012. His burial place was not revealed in the obituary.30039

Roger Dale Coffey, 65, of Edinburg, died Monday, April 9, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Martinsburg.

Roger was born January 3, 1947 in Front Royal, the son of Ethel Campbell Coffey and the late Erskine H. Coffey, Sr. 

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a construction operator. 

Roger is survived by daughters, Lisa Ramey, Edinburg, Shelly Harley, Strasburg; sons, Chris Riga, Florida, and Bryan Coffey, Edinburg; sister, Dejuana Smelser, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Reginald Don Coffey and Erskine H. Coffey, Jr.

Services are private.
