Nancy Coffey and Joel Campbell were married on 8 September 1817 in Lovingston, Nelson Co., VA.¹²⁰⁷ They^¹²⁰⁷ appeared in the census on 15 November 1850 in Nelson Co., VA.¹²⁰⁸ Some of the children in the 1850 census may not belong to Joel and Nancy. They were not listed in birth order in the census. Joel Campbell, son of Francis Jefferson Campbell and Isabell Catlett, was born circa 1790 in Virginia.
