Mary Coffey Wood, 93, Cedar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at her residence.

Graveside services for Mrs. Wood will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Coffey Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Hundley and Rev. Hunter Phillips officiating. Perry Funeral Home directing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cherokee County Humane Society.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her daughter, Martha W. Lowder, Pike Road; granddaughter, Catherine L. Struble, Auburn; great-grandchildren, Robert Struble, James Struble and Olivia Struble; nieces, Cotton Crow, Cedar Bluff, Jane Hindman, Atlanta, Elise Keener, Vestavia Hills, Frances O. Berckenhoff, Schulenburg, Texas, and Edna Wynn, Centre; nephews, John C. Sipple, Mobile, Thomas Neighbors of McLean, Va., and Thomas W. Coffey, Cedar Bluff.

Mrs. Wood was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Chisolm and Eula Wheeler Coffey, and was a farm owner.

Mary Coffey and James Ralph Wood were married. James Ralph Wood was born on 14 April 1917. James died on 10 April 1985 and was buried at Coffey Family Cemetery in Cedar Bluff, Cherokee Co., AL in April 1985 .27096
