Edward Kay Coffey, age 70, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the central Baptist Hospital in Lexington Ky.

He was born March 22, 1938, the son of the late Oscar and Lizzie Mae Keeton Coffey.

He was united in marriage with Christeen Worley Coffey, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son-Anthony Coffey; step-children - Shirley Carver, Jean Oliver, Betty Corder, David and Eddie Burton, and Lawrence Buster; four sisters - Christine Chriswell, Geneva Baker, Elneda Craig, and Sue Stockton; two brothers - Raymond and Billy Coffey two grandchildren - Joshua and Sabrina; great-grandchild-Kamrie; 17 step-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Elwood Coffey.

Edward had accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 19, 2009 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Keith McKim officiating. Burial followed in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery.
