James Harold Coffey 74, of Kindred Lane passed away Saturday July 20, 2013 at his home.

James was born in Rockcastle County to the late Leonard and Grace Richmond Coffey. He was retired from the Facilities Management Department at Berea College and a member of the Berea Church of Christ. He enjoyed gardening, taking and sharing photos, antique cars and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents James was also preceded in death by his two sisters Naomi Hall and
Dorothy Newman and infant brother Chester Coffey.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Flonnie Johnson Coffey, two daughters Julie Perciful and Sherra Morgan, two grandchildren Kyle Perciful and Haley Morgan, siblings Clyde Coffey, Fred (Alice) Coffey, Bertha Gipson, Mary Raulerson, Paul Coffey and uncle Willie Coffey. He is also survived by Flonnie’s family Barbara Gregory, Lavon (Ruby) Johnson, Bonnie (Allen) Alexander, Brenda (Richard) Saylor, Ina (Larry) Abrams, Ada (Jeff) Bowman, Mildred (Russ) Chamberlin, Kenneth (Lori) Johnson, Shirdy Johnson, Kenny Johnson and mother-in-law Sadie Johnson. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.

Funeral services will be 2pm Tuesday July 23, 2013 at Lakes Funeral Home with Minister Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-9pm at Lakes Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Alexander, Jeff Bowman, Russ Chamberlin, Richard Saylor, Kenneth Johnson and Ben Bowman.
