Earl Coffey was born December 3, 1916 in Jackson County and departed this life Thursday, November 17, 2016 at his residence, being 99 years of age. He was the son of the late Tom & Ruth (Robinson) Coffey.

Earl is survived by his sister in law, Betty Coffey and by the following nieces and nephews, Jane Ramsey, Jimmy Ramsey, Jeff Ramsey, Lisa Hays, Julie Taylor and Becky Hughes and by a host of great and great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Earl was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Thompson) Coffey and by three siblings, Tom Coffey, Eileen Howard and Elsa Ramsey.

Earl was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He was an active member of the local D.A.V. Jack Welch Chapter #165 and he was also a Mason in the Lodge. He was a member of the Gray Hawk Baptist Church.

Funeral service was 1:00PM Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Williams and Bro. Everett Van Zant officiating. Burial followed in the Reynolds Cemetery.

Earl Coffey and Evelyn Thompson were married. Evelyn Thompson was born on 24 December 1920. Evelyn died on 30 June 1998 and was buried at Tyner, Jackson Co., KY in July 1998.46977
