Arlene Daisy (Coffey) Tisdale, 86, of Lyndhurst passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Avante of Waynesboro. Born December 9, 1930 in Massy Mill, Va she was the daughter of the late Kelly Massie and Lena (Fitzgerald) Coffey.

Arlene was a member of Lyndhurst United Methodist Church. She was employed for many years by the Crompton Company until her retirement and later worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Arlene enjoyed playing bingo and going camping. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard O. Tisdale, Sr.; son-in-law, William "Pete" Chaplin; siblings, Christine Claytor, Earl Coffey and Annie McGann.

Survivors include her loving children, Carolyn Chaplin of Lyndhurst, Sandy Shirley and husband, Eddie of Sherando, Wanda Fralin and husband, Barry of Crimora and son, J.T. Tisdale and wife, Nancy of Crimora; sister, Marie Campbell of Sherando; grandchildren, Theresa Chaplin, Debbie Wilson, Chad Shirley, M.C. Shirley, Brandon Fralin and Jennifer Wheeler; a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friend, Christine Strickler.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Lyndhurst United Methodist Church with Pastor Vivian M. Utz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Brandon Fralin, M.C. Shirley, Earl Coffey, Garland Coffey, Jason Wheeler and Buddy Noe.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W.
