CHIPPENDALE, Charles Edward Age 75 passed away on Friday June 8, 2007 at East Fork Lake due to a boating accident. Mr. Chippendale graduated from Middletown High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He attended the University of Cincinnati and Miami University and worked as a mechanical engineer at Monsanto/EGG in Miamisburg before retiring in 1989. In his retirement he maintained rental properties and was a full time grandpa who loved attending the school and sporting events of his grandchildren.

He leaves to morn his passing his wife of 48 years Elsie Coffey Chippendale, one daughter Cindy (Todd) Malott of Middletown Ohio, two grandchildren Allyson and Bradley Malott of Middletown Ohio, three sisters Carol Ponder of Franklin Ohio, Edith Crosson of Middletown, and Mary Ellen Connery of Brookville Indiana.

Charles was preceded in death by in death by his parents Willard and Almeda Long Chippendale, two brothers Robert and Gene Chippendale, and one sister Mildred Estridge.

His son, Scott, died in the same boating accident. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday June, 20 2007 3:00 p.m. at Well Spring Community Church in West Chester. Burial will follow the service at Woodside Cemetary Middletown Ohio. Friends may call for visitation one hour prior to service at the church.

CHIPPENDALE, Scott Edward Age 38 passed away on Friday June, 8 2007 at East Fork Lake due to a boating accident. Mr. Chippendale was a 1987 graduate of Franklin High School in Franklin, Ohio. He also attended Miami University, Oxford. He was an owner and operator of Chippendale Roofing Inc. in Franklin, Ohio.

Scott was a member of Wellspring Church in West Chester. He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother Elsie Coffey Chippendale of Franklin, Ohio. One sister Cindy (Todd) Malott of Middletown, Ohio. His niece and nephew Alyson and Bradley Malott.

Scott's father Charles died in the same boating accident. Scott was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors and spending time with friends.

The family would like to recognize the tireless efforts of Kevin Blitz, Mark Enz, and Dave Studenka in the recovery effort of Scott and his father. One would be lucky to find one such devoted friend in a lifetime - Scott had many.
