Married 50 years - Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Coffey will observe their 50th wedding anniversary from 2-4 p.m. Sunday with an open house at their Kingston home on the old Berea Road in Madison County. Mr. Coffey, a retired farmer, and the former Miss Lizzie Warford were married Oct. 17, 1917, in Estill County and are the parents of six children: Mrs. James Richmond, Mrs. Jessie B. Cole and and Billy Coffey, Lexington; Claude Coffey, Kingston; Harold Coffey, Lake Charles, La., and Leo Coffey, Huntington, Ind. They have four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Lizzie died in Kentucky on 12 June 1991 and was buried at Walton Cemetery in Irvine, Estill Co., KY in June 1991 .37998

Raymond Coffey

Richmond, July 15 - Raymond Coffey, 31, farmer, died of a heart attack at 11:45 a.m. today at the Kingston home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Coffey.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. James Todd, Richmond, and Mrs. Jesse Cole, Lexington; four brothers, Claude Coffey, Kingston; Billy Joe and Harold Coffey, Lexington, and Lee Coffey, Huntington, Ind., and his grandfather, Johny [sic] Warford, Estill County.

The body is at the Turpin Funeral Home.
