Royal Temple Everitt, 80, Love, died in his sleep Tuesday night at his home.

Born in Love on Aug. 3, 1875, he was a son of the late Elias and Martha Demastus Everitt. He was a well-known farmer in the Love community.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sadie Allen Smith Everitt; one stepson, John Smith, Stuarts Draft; three brothers, Gordon L. Everitt, Henry M. Everitt and Ellis M. Everitt, all of Lyndhurst; one sister, Mrs. Estie Coffey, Lyndhurst; several step-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until Friday morning. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Mt. Top Christian Church by the Rev. Robley Allen, assisted by the Rev. Pettit Coffey. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Forest Coffey, Huston Coffey, Saylor Coffey, Johnny Coffey, Ray Coffey and Richard Coffey.

Honorary bearers will be Jake Hewitt, Fred Coffey and Hugh Coffey.

Royal Temple Everitt and Sadie Loticha Allen were married. They appeared in the census on 12 April 1940 in Massies Mill, Nelson Co, VA.13289 Sadie Loticha Allen, daughter of Arthur Clifford Allen and Rosa Hamlet, was born on 12 March 1886 in Virginia. Sadie died at home in Love, Massies Mill Dist., Nelson Co., VA on 11 October 1964 of a cerebral hemorrhage and was buried at Mountain Top Christian Church Cemetery in Love, Nelson Co, VA in October 1964 .13290,13291
