Ross Woodrow Coffey, 67, of 508 W. Frederick St. was dead on arrival at King's Daughters' Hospital Saturday (April 26, 1986). He was born Feb. 7, 1919 in Nelson County near Montebello, a son of Adolphus F. and Iola (Hatter) Coffey. He was a member of Staunton Church of Christ. Surviving are a daughter, Yvonne L. Waters of Bristol; two brothers, Ralph and Eugene R. Coffey, both of Waynesboro; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Proffitt and Mrs. Ruby Mason, both of Alexandria, and Miss Gertrude Coffey of Fredericksburg. A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday in Staunton Church of Christ by the Revs. Duane A. Jones and Dennis W. Kadian. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Men of Staunton Church of Christ will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at Hamrick Funeral Home.
