JACK BRADLEY COFFEY CLAREMONT – Jack Bradley Coffey, 82 of Claremont went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 16, 2017.

He was born on November 25, 1934 in Caldwell County to the late Eugene and Etoy Greene Coffey. Jack served in the US Army during the Korean War in the 3rd Infantry Division. He was a survivor of Out Post Harry in that war.

He also served in the US Navy aboard the USS English. Jack retired from GE after twenty eight years of employment. He was of the Baptist faith. Jack was a dedicated American Patriot. He loved his God, country and family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Jeanie Coffey.

Survivors include his children, Debbie Grant and husband Bryan of Claremont, Gaye Fender and husband Joel of Greensboro, James Coffey of Claremont, Tammy Turbyfill and husband Toby of Blacksburg, VA; grandchildren, Brandon Grant, Shawn Grant, Mason Turbyfill, Chase Turbyfill, Ian Turbyfill, Gabe Turbyfill, Ethan Coffey, Skylar Coffey; brothers, Larry Watson, and Gary Watson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 3 PM at Catawba Funerals & Cremations with Dr. Joel Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 6:30-7:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.

Jackie Bradley Coffey and Jeanie Irene Wilson were married on 17 September 1958 in Caldwell Co., NC.32691 Jeanie Irene Wilson, daughter of Johnnie J. Wilson and Vesta Irene Quillen, was born on 11 May 1941 in Kingsport, Sullivan Co., TN. Jeanie died in Hickory, Catawba Co., NC on 24 November 1988 and was buried at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory, Catawba Co., NC in November 1988 .32692
