LINCOLN - Gene E. Coffey, 75, of Lincoln, died Thursday, February 20, 2014. He was born January 10, 1939, in Camden County, MO, son of the late John Milton and Florence Emma DeBerry Coffey.

He grew up near Lincoln, MO, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1956.

On October 24, 1970, he was united in marriage to Barbara Kullman. They have spent their entire married life in Lincoln, MO. Gene was a stock smith, working for Bishop and Fajen's Gunstock in Warsaw. In 1990, he continued his stock smith trade, opening Coffey Classic Stocks business.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Barbara, of the home; son, Master Sgt. Timothy Ray Coffey, and wife, Juli, stationed in Alaska; and daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Drummond, and husband, Robert, of Clinton, MO; seven grandchildren, Adara and A.J. Drummond, Danny and Cheyenne Duffy, Andrew, Aaron and Matthew Coffey, two sisters, Maxine Wiseman of Raytown, MO, and Waneta Matney, of the state of Washington.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn, Jim, Rolland and Delmar Coffey and two sisters, Emma Lou Griffith and Ruth Wharton.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, MO with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to Benton County Cancer Fund, Benton County Hospice or the American Heart Association.

A living couple was married in 1970. Living (private).
