Mrs. Naoma Coffey Dies In Lawrence

Funeral services for Mrs. Naoma Coffey, 21, were conducted Sunday afternoon at Liberty church, Lawrence county by the Rev. W. L. Barber. Highsmith of Moulton was in charge of burial at Liberty cemetery.

Mrs. Coffey died Saturday after an illness of only 12 hours.

She is survived by her husband, E. I. Coffey; two sons, Jack and James; a daughter, Wanda Lee; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Hill; four brothers, Cecil, Frank, Burn and Aaron Hill; four sisters, Mrs. Vera Watson, Mrs. Lorene Turner, Bettie Lou Hill and Ophelia Hill, all of Moulton route 2.

Mrs. Coffey had been a member of Liberty Methodist church since 12 years of age. Naomi married E. I. Coffey. Not yet sure who he was.

James 'Jimmy' Coffey
65, retired gas station owner

MOULTON -- Funeral for James "Jimmy" Coffey, 65, of Moulton will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Zach Terry and the Rev. Tony Boyles officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Coffey died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1933, in Lawrence County to Irvin and Naomi Coffey. He was a retired owner of a Texaco service station.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Coffey; one daughter, Teresa Terry of Moulton; one brother, Jack Coffey of Moulton; one sister, Wanda Barger of Decatur; and one grandson.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Steadman, Royal Carpenter, Ronnie Hill, Mike Dutton, Jeremy Steadman, Chad Steadman and Jared Dutton.
