MEREDITH THURSA COFFEY WATSON

Meredith Thursa Coffey Watson, 77, of Lenoir passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Watson was born in Caldwell County to the late Clarence Coffey and Winnie Jolley Coffey. She was retired from the furniture industry and was a member of Kings Creek Baptist Church. She loved holidays and loved to cook, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Watson; a daughter, Vicky Brooks; a granddaughter, Vanessa Kirby; four brothers and a sister.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tommy Allen Sipes of Maiden, and Mitchell Everett Sipes and special friend, Lesa Smith of Lenoir; her daughters, Nancy Lee Trivette of Lenoir, Connie Hendrix and husband James of Lenoir, and Sherry Triplett and husband Todd of Hudson. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild, and her beloved fur babies, Tom, Miss Cat, and Peonie Rose.

Services for Mrs. Watson will be private.

Meredith Thursa Coffey and James Everett Watson were married. James Everett Watson, son of Everette Turner Watson and Vena Ethel Hamby, was born on 24 September 1933 in Wilkes Co., NC. James died in Catawba Co., NC on 3 May 1987 and was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 5 May 1987 .44139
