Jerry Wayne Coffey, 51, of Andrews, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at his residence.

He was a native of Concord and the son of Kay Lance Coffey of Marble and the late Clyde Coffey. He was a telephone lineman. Jerry enjoyed working on cars and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved spending time with his wife, Rhonda.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one child, Rhianna Leigh Coffey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Jordan Coffey; two sons, Cody Andrew Coffey and Waylon Smith Coffey, both of Andrews; their sons' mother, Violet Evon Clark Coffey; stepsons, Justin Derreberry and Aaron Derreberry, both of Andrews; five brothers, Dan Taylor and wife Billie of Murphy, James Taylor and wife Christine of Andrews, David Coffey and wife Debbie of Gainesville, Ga., John Coffey and wife Amber of Marble, and David Allen Coffey of New York; three sisters, Linda Rhodes and husband Roger of Marble, Wanda Phillips of Waynesville, and Debbie Lee and husband Dexter of Marble; one grandchild, Izrael Haze Coffey; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. The Revs. Patrick O'Dell and Clark Taylor officiated. Music was provided by Taylor Coffey and Susan Taylor. Burial was in the Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cody Coffey, Waylon Coffey, Michael Campbell, Chris Campbell, Dennis Asher, (Grady) Derrick Thompson, Johnny Pendergrass and Mark Amos. Honorary pallbearers were Allen David Coffey, Junior Taylor, Justin Derreberry, Aaron Derreberry, Rodgers Rhodes, Tony Mason, Jeff Bailey and Timmy Phillips.

The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.

Rhonda Kay Coffey, age 40, of Andrews, NC passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016.

She was a native of Charles County, Maryland and was the daughter of R.L. and Peggy Leonard Jordan of Andrews, NC. Rhonda had a good heart, a great personality and enjoyed being around people. She was a member of Junaluska Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Coffey and two children, Jacob Derreberry and Rhianna Derreberry.

In addition to her parents she is survived by two sons, Justin Derreberry and Aaron Derreberry both of Andrews, NC; and one sister, Shelley Silvers of Andrews, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC. Rev. Dana Dockery and Rev. Patrick O'Dell will officiate. Burial will be in the Valleytown Cemetery in Andrews, NC. Pallbearers will be Corey Silvers, Aaron DeVore, Shane Dockery, Shaun Dockery, Jamie Smith and Danny Luther.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC.
