HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE – M.D. Coffey, 81, of Hot Springs Village died Monday, March 29, 2004, in a Hot Springs hospital. Born Oct. 28, 1922, in Iowa to Alonzo A. and Alice Adene Coffey, he was predeceased by one sister, Darnela Coffey; and one brother, Delbert Coffey.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Patricia Coffey; one daughter, Kay Lovett of Hot Springs; one brother and sisterin-law, Robert and Millie Coffey of Indianola, Iowa; one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Paul Hamilton of Greene, Iowa; two granddaughters, Tiffany Urias and Anjanette Loy; two greatgrandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

The service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Village United Methodist Church with the Rev. Therrel Wilson officiating.

Burial will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Humeston Cemetery, Humeston, Iowa, with Pastor Lynn Zimmerman officiating. Guest register is at http://www.caruthhale.com. Arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Helen Patricia Coffey, 92, of Hot Springs, passed away March 17, 2017. She was born March 19, 1924, in Humeston, Iowa, to Harry and Margaret (Fluckey) Marks.

Pat g ra d u a te d f ro m Humeston Iowa High School and Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe, Mo. She was employed in the business world, first in Des Moines, Iowa, then after marriage, in each of the communities where her husband was transferred by the telephone company in Iowa, North Dakota and Minnesota. Pat retired in 1985, after 14 years with a Minnesota manufacturing company as an executive secretary.

After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling, until they found Hot Springs Village in 1989, where they could be near their daughter and family and play lots of golf.

Pat was a member of Village United Methodist Church, PEO Chapter DN, Minnesota, and American Legion Auxiliary, Mount Pleasant, Iowa. She was involved in church and organizations in each community they lived.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, M.D. Coffey; brother, Harold Marks; and sister, Elaine Nichols.

Survivors include daughter, Kay Lovett (Jim), of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Anjanette Urias-Loy and Tiffany Urias; great-grandchildren, Dalton and Shaylin Loy; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel, with a celebration of Pat's life immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Teddy Frye officiating.

Burial will be at Humeston Cemetery in Humeston, Iowa.
