Doris died in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY on 13 April 2018 and was buried at Cedar Grove Church Cemetery in Stearns, McCreary Co., KY in April 2018 .⁴⁷⁶³⁷

Doris Ellen Coffey, age 71, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at her residence.

Doris was born on March 28, 1947 in Coopersville, KY to the late Isaac Roland Kidd and Daisy Ellen Atwood Kidd. She worked as a Residential Aide at Oakwood for eleven years. Doris enjoyed making jewelry, reading and sewing.

She is survived by her children, James Ray (and Teresa) Coffey of Somerset, Misty Ellen Coffey of Sawyer, KY, William Isaac Coffey of Slavens, KY and Olivia Vernice Jones of Slavens, KY; one brother, Porter Ray (and Sally) Kidd of Monticello, KY; one brother-in-law, George Clarence Keith of Stearns, KY; six grandchildren, Jessica, Abby, Alex, Amber, Kaylyn and Kaden; and seven great-grandchildren, Ayden, Ryker, Ashlyn, Kohlson, Gavin, Kyntlea and Kashton.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by husband, James Ellard Coffey, whom she married on March 1, 1967 in Jellico, TN and he preceded her January 20, 1997; one brother, George William Kidd.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery in McCreary County.
