ORRISTOWN -- Mary Elizabeth Coffey Gilliam, age 82, of Mohawk, went to be with the Lord Sunday at Lakeway Regional Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Clarence R. Gilliam; her children: Marvin (Tammy) Gilliam, Carroll (Carolyn) Gilliam, Danny (Kathy) Gilliam, Dianna (Rufus) Johnson, and Kathy (Randy) Williams; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her special friends: Sally Parker and Margaret Bullion; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Dora Coffey; grandson: Scott Hayes; brothers: Charles and William "Bill" Coffey; and sister: Lois Cobble.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Stubblefield Funeral Home, 5421 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy., Morristown.

The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Donnie Myers and the Rev. Jimmy Hubbard will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at Stubblefield Funeral Home Thursday morning at 9:45 a.m. to go to in procession to Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 10 a.m. committal service.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff and nurses at the Heritage Center.

Mary Elizabeth Coffey and Clarence R. Gilliam were married on 28 May 1949 in Hamblen Co., TN.39116 Clarence R. Gilliam was born circa 1928 in Tennessee. Clarence died in Mohawk, Greene Co., TN on 22 October 2015 and was buried at Hamblen Memory Gardens in Morristown, Hamblen Co., TN on 25 October 2015 .39117,39118

MORRISTOWN -- Clarence Robert Gilliam, 87, of Mohawk, went to be with the Lord Thursday.

He was a member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Mr. Gilliam was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Elizabeth Gilliam; his father: Auther Gilliam; his mother: Alice Gilliam; a stepmother: Sochia Gilliam; and sisters: Vergie, Loretta and Ruby.

Survivors include his children: Marvin (Tammy) Gilliam, Carroll (Carolyn) Gilliam, Danny (Kathy) Gilliam, Dianna (Rufus) Johnson, and Kathy (Randy) Williams; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Brenda (IJ) Banks and Jenny Hembree; a brother: Auther (Audrey) Gilliam Jr.; many special friends; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Stubblefield Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Donnie Myers and the Rev. Jimmy Hubbard will officiate.
