Coffey, Charles Douglas, 94, of Mechanicsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 1999. He was born November. 4, 1904, in Buena Vista, the son of the late Salathiel and Ollie Coffey. Mr. Coffey was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Audrey Board Coffey. He retired as a conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad after 43 years of service. He was a member of Ghent Grace Brethren Church since 1920. Survivors include a son and his wife, John A. Coffey and Patricia of Mechanicsville; a daughter and her husband, Sarah C. Keys and Basil, Jr. of Richmond; four grandchildren, John R. Keys and Michael David Keys, both of Richmond, Anne C. Edwards of Marietta, Ga., and Charles J. Coffey of Mechanicsville; six great-grandchildren, Joshua R. Keys, Lindsay Keys, Katie Keys, and Kelly Keys, all of Richmond, Isabel Edwards and Graham Edwards, both of Marietta, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Nellie Board of Roanoke; and a brother-in-law, William Blackwell of Roanoke. A chapel service will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel on Saturday, February 13, 1999, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Larry Frakes officiating. Interment follows at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.

COFFEY, AUDREY B. Mrs. Audrey Board Coffey, age 83 of Roanoke, died suddenly in Richmond on Sunday morning. She was a member of Ghent Brethren Church. Surviving are her husband, Charles D. Coffey, Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah C. and Basil Keys, Richmond; son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Patricia D. Coffey, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one sister, Vera B. Switzer, Salem; four grandchildren, John Randolph Keys; Michael David Keys; Patricia Anne Coffey; Charles Joseph Coffey; one great-grandson, Joshua Randolph Keys. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 1:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Nathan Leigh and the Rev. Danny Wright. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
