Burke Neal Bigbie, 61, died at Lea Regional Hospital in Hobbs.

He was born in Ardmore, Okla., and was married to Sally Crabtree on September 5, 1953, in Carlsbad.

He was regional manager for Larkin Products, Inc., distributor of oil field fittings and wellheads. He was honored in 1985 with the presentation of the Special Meritorious Award by the Petroleum Engineer International magazine for the best engineering design of a wellhead.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. A granddaughter, Kassandra Woodruff, preceded him in death in March of 1988.

Survivors include his wife, one son, two daughters, two brothers and one sister.

Burke Neal Bigbie and Sally Ann Crabtree were married in 1953 in Carlsbad, Eddy Co., NM. Sally Ann Crabtree was born on 6 May 1934 in Sepulveda, Tulsa Co., OK. Sally died in Hobbs, Lea Co., NM on 22 May 2014 and was buried at Prairie Haven Memorial Park in Hobbs, Lea Co., NM on 23 May 2014 .47271

Sally Ann Bigbie, 80, was born to Dewey and Ruth Crabtree on May 6, 1934 in
Sepulveda, Oklahoma. She passed away May 22, 2014 in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Sally married Burke Bigbie in 1953 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Mrs. Bigbie was a
loving mom and a great friend. She worked as a bookkeeper in the oil industry.
She enjoyed painting and gardening. She was a great cook. Sally was a member
of the Dancing Grannies in Odessa. She was the oldest member of Immanuel
Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bigbie is survived by one son Mark Bigbie, and two daughters, Vickie (Kirk)
Staggs, and Lisa (Joe) Woodruff, all of Hobbs; grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph,
Heather, Ashley and Lance; great-grandchildren, Nashoba, Syvanna, Brooklyn,
Briar, Jaxson and Lily; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband Burke in 1991; her granddaughter
Kassandra Woodruff; and her sister Susie Stephens.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital,
501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.

Visitation will be held from 10 am to 6 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Chapel of
Hope Funeral Home, with the family greeting friends from 4 pm to 6 pm. Funeral
services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Chapel of Hope.
Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
