Tyler Greene

Brother Tyler Greene, son of Amos and Hattie Greene, was born May 14, 1896; departed this life October 23, 1924. He professed faith in Christ at an early age in life and joined the Baptist church at Pleasant Valley, then later moved to Paw Paw Grove by letter. He lived a devoted Christian life until death. He was married to Ruth Agan [sic] [Ogan] December 25, 1912; to this union was born four children, one preceding him to Glory, leaving a wife and three children, father, mother, four brothers and six sisters to mourn his loss, but their loss is his eternal gain. The sadness had been made almost unbearable on the account of the manner of his death; so weep not for Tyler, we believe he is singing around God's eternal throne with angels and loved ones, so sleep on dear brother till Christ comes to gather his jewels home, then our joy will be complete. He was always at his post in everything that was right; we miss him in the fight for the Lord. The Savior called for him to come, our sad hearts know it was His will.
