1719. Patterson Vance Coffey was born on 16 September 1845 in North Carolina. He lived with his mother in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC on 25 July 1850. Patterson enlisted in the as a private in Co. E, 58th NC Inf. Regt. on 6 February 1864 at .6479,6480

He was on the rolls Aug. 31, 1864, but no other information has been found. There are also records for a Patterson V. Coffey who enlisted in Co. D, 1st NC Cavalry Regt. on 20 Sep. 1863, and for one which enlisted on Sep. 13th, 1836 in Caldwell Co. Patterson died at St. Vincent's Hospital in Portland, Multnomah Co., OR on 2 March 1911 of a stroke and was buried at Drain Cemetery in Drain, Douglas Co., OR on 5 March 1911 .6481,6482

Patterson settled his family in Douglas Co., OR; his son Robert moved to Portland. Nancy Martisha Estes, daughter of Robert Felix Estes and Polly Medaris, was born on 29 January 1849 in North Carolina. Nancy died in Oregon on 6 August 1910 and was buried at East Drain Cemetery in Drain, Douglas Co., OR in August 1910 .6487

She was an English teacher.

Ada Boone Coffey was born on 3 August 1887 in North Carolina. Ada died in Oregon on 8 May 1936 and was buried at Drain Cemetery in Drain, Douglas Co., OR on 11 May 1936 .6491,6492

"Funeral services for Ada Boone Coffey, sister of the late Dr. Robert C. Coffey, were held Saturday with Rev. R. A. Simmonds of St. Mark's Episcopal church officiating. Interment was in Drain, Or., yesterday at 1:20 P. M.

"Miss Coffey was born in North Carolina in 1887 and came west with her family to Drain the following year. She attended the University of Oregon and graduated from the Presbyterian Hospital Training School for Nurses in New York in 1913.

"Her first professional work as a nurse was done in San Francisco. She served in the Presbyterian hospital unit overseas during the war and later was sent to Serbia with the American Red Cross. She was also connected with the public health department of New York state and Boston, Mass.

"Miss Coffey is survived by J. A. Coffey, Jamestown, N. D., and Mrs. Rose Powell of Portland."
