CHARLOTTE - Mr. [Alan] Coffey, 54, of Charlotte died on March 6, 2013. He was born on August 25, 1958 in Welch, WV. Alan graduated from Welch High School and Anderson University in Anderson, IN. He worked for Duke Energy for 33 years. Alan enjoyed music and was part of the Duke Energy Chorus as well as a soloist at his church.

Alan is survived by his parents, Arnold and Joyce Coffey of Bluefield, WV; his brother, Roger Coffey of Charlotte and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Coffey.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11 from noon until 1:00 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 followed by a 1:00 pm Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.

Pam Coffey, age 12, of Charlotte, died November 4, 2001 at Carolinas Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at St. Francis United Methodist Church, 4200 McKee Road with Reverend Ben Devoid officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery, Matthews, NC. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road.

Pam was born June 11, 1989 in Charlotte, was a member of St. Francis United Methodist Church, a 7th grade student at South Charlotte Middle School, a member of the Middle School Youth Group at her church, a member of the Handbell Choir, and a member of Girl Scout Troop #1834 at Providence Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her parents, Alan D. and Deborah Coffey; grandparents, Glenn and June Bair of Columbus, Ohio, and Arnold and Joyce Coffey of Bluefield, West Virginia; and great grandparents, Reverend Ruthven and Louise Neff of Bluford, Illinois.
