19262. Darrell Dean Coffey was born on 16 August 1934 in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE. Darrell died at home in Clackamas Co., OR on 26 March 1992 of cancer and his remains cremated. His ashes were placed at Forest Lawn Memorial ParkGresham, Multnomah Co., OR.46495

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel in Gresham for Darrell ''Dean'' Coffey. 

Mr. Coffey, 57, died in his Clackamas home of cancer on March 26 and was cremated Saturday. He was born Aug. 16, 1934, in Lincoln, Neb. 

He was raised in Boring and attended Orient Grade School and Gresham High School. 

He was founder and president of Columbia Acoustical in Clackamas, a tile installation company. 

Mr. Coffey also was a member of the Carpenters Drywall and Acoustical Apprenticeship Committee & Trust, a member of the Exterior and Interior Specialists Joint Labor Management Committee and a trustee of the Carpenters Health & Welfare Trust, the Carpenters Pensions Trust and chairman of the Wall and Ceiling Industry Promotion Fund. 

Before going into business for himself, he worked for the Tacoma Police Department and in 1964 served as police chief of Sandy. 

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Cathy Holmlund of Portland, and Kimberly Coffey of Eugene; two sons, Dean and Greg of Clackamas; mother, Louise Coffey of Gresham; sister, Beverly Paulsen of Boring, and four grandchildren. 

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Kaiser Hospice Program at 3600 N. Interstate Ave., Portland, Ore. 97227-1191

A living couple was married in 1956 in Boring, Clackamas Co., OR.46496 Living, daughter of John T. Johnson and Eva M. , was born in 1938 in Idaho.
