Warren (Gene) Drube went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2008. Gene was born March 8, 1940 in Fort Benton, Montana to Freddie and Edna Drube. He was a truck driver for B. F. Walker in 1985 when he came to Midland and met his wife, Sandi, of 23 years at Warfield Truck Stop. He went into the construction and remodeling business (G&S Painting) and then into apartment maintenance. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and three brothers, Edgar, Harry and Don Drube. He is survived by his wife, Sandi, of the home, three sons, Dan Robinson of San Marcus, Mike Robinson of Big Spring, and Randy Drube of Gulfport, Mississippi, four daughters, Rosa Robinson of Corpus Christi, Chris Lewis, Judy Sipes and Tracy Drube all of Lewistown, Montana. Thirteen Grandchildren: Nicole, Camden, Uriah, Michael Lee, and Danyel Robinson, Caleb, Nathan and Mark Drube, Sierra and Dylan Sipes, Keith, Kolin and Kyle Lewis. One Great Grandchild, Jayden. Two brothers, Harvey, of Great Falls, Montana and Richard, of Gillett, Wyoming and other family and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 26, 2008 with visitation and viewing at 11:00 A.M. at West Kentucky Baptist Church. The service will be presided over by Brother Bob Porterfield who married Gene and Sandi in 1985. Pallbearers will be Bob Wright, Al Flores, Rey Najera, Mark Leak, Bobby Baker and John Ivins. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to Hospice of Midland for the care and attention given to Gene and to his wife and family. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Gene Drube Memorial, 601 George, Apt. 117, Midland, TX 79705.
