BAY — Leslie T. "Les" Coffey, 82, of Bay died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital at Jonesboro.

He was born in Olyphant and had lived in Bay for the past 57 years, coming from Sikeston, Mo. He was the founder and retired owner of the Coffey Plumbing Co., and he was a Methodist.

Mr. Coffey was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Coffey, in 2007; one son, Kenneth Coffey; two sisters; and four brothers. He was the son of the late John Walter and Ethel Kendrick Coffey.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Falmer of Heber Springs, Barbara McGuire and Lawanda Jiles, both of Jackson, Miss.; two sons, Leslie Dwight Coffey of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Thurman Coffey of Trumann; one brother, Doyle Coffey of Jonesboro; two sisters, Martha Johnson and Ruby Coffey, both of Jonesboro; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today in Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Lesley T. "Les" Coffey and Ollie Irene Nelson were married on 21 September 1946 in Craighead Co., AR.45914 Ollie Irene Nelson, daughter of W. E. Nelson and Myrtle Hill, was born on 14 March 1928 in Arkansas. Ollie resided with her parents in Craighead Co., AR on 3 April 1940. Ollie died at White County Medical Center in Searcy Co., AR on 16 July 2007 and was buried at Gainesville Cemetery in Gainesville, Greene Co., AR in July 2007 .45915

llie Irene Coffey, age 79, of Edgemont, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 16, 2007, at White County Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas. Born on March 14, 1928, she was one of nine children born to Edward and Myrtle Hill Nelson.

Mrs. Coffey was a homemaker and a member of several organizations, including the Cleburne County Extension Homemakers Club and the Greers Ferry Extension Home-makers Club, the Bunco group, the Card Players group, the Greers Ferry Craft Club, Boot Scooten' Babes of the Bay line dancers, and the Ditzy Chicks Red Hat Society. She attended Russellville Primitive Baptist Church. 

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Fulmer and husband, Lester, of Edgemont; Barbara McGuire of Kennett, Missouri, and LaWanda Jiles of Brandon, Mississippi; two brothers; four sisters; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of wonderful family and friends.
