In 1900, Richard reported in the census that he was 37 yrs. old, and was born in Dec., 1862. Richard died on 25 January 1930 in Gentry Co., MO of valvular heart disease and was buried at High Ridge Cemetery in Stanberry, Cooper Twp., Gentry Co., MO.8286,8287

This may be the Richard B. Coffey who was accused in 1914 of the murder of Mrs. Myrtle Fancher in August of that year. He was later found not guilty by a jury in Savannah, Andrew Co., MO.
