LEXINGTON - Lillie M. Dunahee, 79, of Lexington died at 11:47 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 30, 1999) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, Lexington, the Rev. Leslie D. Rempel officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lexington.

She was born Feb. 14, 1920, at Russell Springs, Ky., a daughter of Robert A. and E. Genevieve Lapsley Coffey. She married Maurice Dunahee on Feb. 2, 1947, at Pontiac. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Darrell (Sherrill) Dunahee, Melvin; and Ronald (Diane) Dunahee, Lexington; three sisters, Evelyn Hayden, Rose Brown, and Bernice Tuley, all of Pontiac; one great-grandchild; and one stepgreat-grandchild.

Also surviving are three grandchildren Kevin, Kayla and Greg Dunahee; and two stepgrandchildren, John and Jason Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one daughter, Elizabeth Dunahee.

She was a graduate of Odell High School. Mrs. Dunahee was a homemaker and she had been employed at OSF Saint James Hospital, Pontiac, and also at Sepigal in Chicago.

Mrs. Dunahee was a member First Baptist Church of Lexington. She was a Sunday school teacher at Calvary Baptist Church in Chatsworth.

Lillie May Coffey and Maurice Charles Dunahee were married on 2 February 1947 in Pontiac, Livingston Co., IL. Maurice Charles Dunahee, son of Charles Elmer Dunahee and Clara Elizabeth Anderson, was born on 18 July 1917 in Livingston Co., IL. Pontiac, Livingston Co., IL in June 2006. Maurice died in Illinois on 10 June 2006 and was buried at25379,25380,25381

LEXINGTON - Maurice Charles Dunahee, 88, of Lexington died at 3:25 a.m. Saturday (June 10, 2006) at Illinois Veterans Home, Manteno.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lexington Community Church. The Rev. Bill Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac, with military rites accorded by the VFW.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, 302 Lincoln St., Chenoa, and from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Dunahee was born July 18, 1917, in Eppards Point Township, Livingston County, a son of Charles Elmer and Clara Elizabeth Anderson Dunahee. He married Lillie Mae Coffey on Feb. 2, 1947, in Pontiac. She died Sept. 30, 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Dunahee of Lexington and Darrell Dunahee of Melvin; a brother, Kenneth Dunahee; three sisters, Eileen Baker, Mildred Hanshew and Audrey Malcolm; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a great-grandson; and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and four brothers.

Mr. Dunahee graduated from Chenoa Township High School in 1935 and served in the Army during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.

He was a lifetime farmer and enjoyed camping and hunting. He was a member of the VFW and First Baptist Church of Lexington.
