Dolly Gibson Masters, age 65, died Monday in a Lexington hospital. She was born October 7, 1926, in Buena Vista, a daughter of the late James W. and Mina Coffey Davis Gibson. She was a life time member of St. John's United Methodist Church, a member of Frontier Chapter of D.A.R. and was a retired accounts officer with the International Monetary Fund. She is survived by her husband, Mansford W. Masters, Jr., Buena Vista; two daughters, Catherine M. Hammersla, Hampstead, N.H.; and Candace Fay Masters, Buena Vista; one son, Mansford W. "Kip" Masters, III, Newport News; one brother, William A. Davis, Mullens, W.Va.; two sisters, Marquerite Freeze, Newport News; and Fay G. Riegert, Buena Vista; two grandchildren, Shayna Fay Hammersla, Hampstead, N.H.; and Mansford W. Masters, IV, Newport News. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, from St. John's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lomax Funeral Home.
