Victims of Accident Buried at Allen

McKinney, Texas, Feb. 10 -- Funeral services were held at Allen for Miss Ethel Mae Bell, 61, and Mrs. Joe Wallace Bridges, 57, victims of a collision at Allen. Miss Bell died instantly and Mrs. Bridges, brought to the McKinney City Hospital, died atout 9 p.m. the same day.

Surviving Miss Bell are five sisters, Mrs. E. L. Leach, Mrs. E. F. Bridges, Mrs. J. P. Giddings and Mrs. Roscoe Leach, all of Allen, and Mrs. J. P. Scott, of Prosper.

Surviving Mrs. Bridges are he husband and two daughtes, Mrs. J. J. Brazeal of Plano and Mrs. J. Guy Lewis of Dallas; a son, Joe W. Bridges Jr., Dallas; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. O. E. Linge and Mrs. Mayo Melton of Allen, W. H. Whisenant of Sealey and Bailey Whisenant of Allen.

Mrs. Bridges was driver of the automobile which collided with a freight train.

Antha Lee Whisenant and Joe Wallace Bridges were married on 8 September 1907 in Collin Co., TX.23904 Joe Wallace Bridges, son of James Bridges and Rachel McClendon, was born on 2 August 1882 in Mississippi. Joe died at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX on 10 September 1951 of chronic nephritis and was buried at Allen Cemetery in Allen, Collin Co., TX in September 1951 .23905,23906
