Jess W. Coffey, 47 years of age, died at his home here at 6:15 o'clock Friday morning after an illness of several months.

Mr. Coffey was born July 23, 1896, the son of Taylor and Mary Elizabeth Snider Coffey, in the Forest Grove community. He married Miss Mildred Joplin February 25, 1927.

He is a member of the First Christian Church of this city and Veteran of Foreign Wars, having participated in the first World War.

Surviving are his wife and six sisters, Mrs. Jane Hunter, Bowie; Mrs. Jose Martin, Dallas, Mrs. Leta Wilson, Plano, Mrs. Edith Martin, Route 2, McKinney, and Mrs. Myrtle Orr and Mrs. W. A. Dungan, McKinney.

Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Christian church, with Dr. Clifford S. Weaver and Rev. A. L. Clinkenbeard of Dallas, pastor of the East McKinney Christian Church, conducting the rites. Interment will be at Pecan Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be members from the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The body will remain at home, 412 S. Tennessee St., until time for the service.

McEntire, was born on 15 December 1903. She lived with her parents in McKinney, Collin Co., TX on 10 January 1920. Mildred died on 9 October 1989 at the age of 85 in McKinney, Collin Co., TX and was buried at McKinney, Collin Co., TX.24024,24025

Mildred E. Coffey

Funeral services for Mildred Elizabeth Coffey, 85, of McKinney, who died Monday at her residence, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mark Randall officiating. Interment was to follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 15, 1903 in McKinney, the daughter of Robert A. and Katie McEntire Joplin. She was retired from Baylor Hospital and was a member of the First Christian Church.

She is survived by a brother, Robert Joplin of Dallas; three sisters, Lucy Staples and Mrs. R. A. Cunningham, both of McKinney, and Polly Mann of Dallas; three nephews, Bobby Mann, Robert Charles Joplin, Bill Joplin Cunningham; two nieces, Kate Tom Lehrer, Jo Gayle Dillon; and a number of great-nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess W. Coffey.
