Services will be conducted today at 2 o'clock from the Chapel of the Lyon Funeral Home for Mr. Cyrus Skaggs, who died at his home on Medar Street, Tuesday morning, November 6th at 3 a.m..

His sudden death came as a shock to his family and the community.

Dr. Chester Badgett, Dr. Paul Horner, and Dr. J.L. Robinson will conduct the services with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Skaggs was born in Taylor County, son of Rev. B.J. Skaggs and Mrs. Ada Coffey Skaggs and was operator of the Skaggs Funiture Shop here.

He was united in marriage to Virginia Gardner Skaggs in 1945.

He was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church and served as General Secretary of the Church Sunday School.

Besides his parents and wife, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Rachel ( Colby ) Cowherd of Greensburg and a brother, Tommy Skaggs, Greensburg.

Pallbearers were: Lee Edwards, Everette Lee, Carl Wells, John Wagster, Teddy Winn, Douglas Bright.

A living couple was married in 1945. Living (private).
