Deaths in Dallas

Coffey--Funeral service for Thomas J. Coffey, 75 years old, who died Thursday evening, was held at the family home, 4415 San Jacinto street, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the Revs. Dave Smith, John G. Slayter and M. M. Davis officiating. The burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Cleora Coffey Dies, Rites Today

Mrs. Cleora Ann Coffey, widow of Thomas Jessup Coffey, died Wednesday at her home, 2330 Hondo, following an illness of several years.

She was born in Marion County near Jefferson March 12, 1855, daughter of James C. and Martha Ann Christian Waits. She was married to Mr. Coffey in Suplhur Springs in 1874 and moved to Dallas in 1882.

Mrs. Coffey is survived by two sons, H. S. Coffey and H. B. Coffey of Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. R. B. Price, Mrs. Eula C. Wadsworth, Mrs. N. B. Quarles of Dallas, Mrs. A. L. Clayton of Sherman and a stepdaughter, Mrs. C. C. Graves of Shreveport; four grandsons, one granddaughter and one great-grandson; four brothers, Allen C. Waits of Fort Worth; Walter S. Waits, of Dallas, James M. Waits of Austin, Samuel M. Waits of Thorp Spring, and two sisters, Mrs. W. G. Schuler and Mrs. H. D. Norris of Dallas.

Funeral services will be held at East Dallas Christian Church at 2 p.m. Thursday with Dr. L. N. D. Wells, pastor, officiating, assisted by Dr. William M. Anderson of First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Judge Noland G. Williams; R. J. Thorne, W. H. Jack, Jr., and Burt Waits, Rufus Waits and Lester Waits of Sulphur Springs.
