Jason Coffey was at one time President of The Farmer's Deposit Bank of Middleburg, KY. That bank was organized in 1905 [sic]. The citizens of Middle burg opened the Farmers Deposit Bank in 1904 with a capital stock of $15,000. Ephriam Godby was its first president, followed in order by Dr. J. T. Wesley, James K. Coffey, Jason Coffey, and the present-day Link Wells. It was robbed one time in October, 1937.

Postmaster is Married

Yosemite.--Miss Wanda Hatter, of this place, and Jason Coffey, president of the Middlesburg Deposit Bank and postmaster, were married here at the home of the bride's father, F. F. Hatter.

The bride is a graduate of Bowling Green Business University and for the past years has been principal of the business department of the university at Chatham, Va.

Jason Coffey and bride returned Friday looking just as happy as big sunflowers. The boys had planned a very warm reception for them when they returned but Jason argues that chevaries [sic] were out of fashion and set up a few cigars and made a compromise with them. -- Middleburg Cor.
