AUBREY - Doys A. "Bud" Coffey, 92, of Aubrey died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Denton Community Hospital.

He was born Oct. 13, 1912, in Aubrey to Asberry A. and Louisa E. Coffey. On June 1, 1935, he married Dorothy F. Sebastian in Denton. She preceded him in death.

He retired from Phillips Petroleum in Borger in 1977.

He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Aubrey.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 4, in the chapel of Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey. The Rev. David Bruce will officiate. Burial will follow at Belew Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Slay Memorial Funeral Center.

Survivors include two sons, Billy E. Coffey of Aubrey and Douglas R. Coffey of Colbert, Okla., five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Glenn Coffey; five brothers, Dalton Coffey, Riley Coffey, Benny Coffey, Jack Coffey and James Coffey; and three sisters, Vera Looper, Estell Byrom and Lucy Yarbrough.

AUBREY - Dorothy F. Coffey, 84, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, in Denton.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Slay Memorial Funeral Center Chapel with the Rev. David Bruce officiating.

Mrs. Coffey was born Nov. 12, 1918, in Pilot Point. She married Doys A. Coffey on June 1, 1935, in Denton.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Billy Edward Coffey of Aubrey and Douglas Richard Coffey of Colbert, Okla.; a sister, Arlene Foutch of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
