WOLFE, ELVA MAE COFFEY HAYES, age 88, passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 at Life Care Center in Morristown.

She was preceded in death by her parents G.B. and Louisa Coffey; husbands, Horace Hayes and Millard Wolfe; four brothers, Virgil Coffey and Lester Coffey of Miamisburg, Ohio, Donald Coffey of Dayton, Ohio, and Frank Coffey of Mooresburg; and one sister, Glatha Gray of Dayton, Ohio.

Survivors include her daughter, Eileen Hayes Coffey of Morristown; granddaughters, Angela Dalton (Ricky) of Parrottsville and Tammy Alexander of Morristown; great grandsons, Cory Dalton and Ryan Dalton of Parrottsville; three sisters, Christine Shipley of Suitland, Md., Elsie Chippendale of Franklin, Ohio and Gertrude Rymer (Donald) of Knoxville; two brothers, Corbett Coffey (Cloda) and Delmas Coffey (Deloris) of Morristown; special sister-in-law, Velva Coffey of Mooresburg; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2007 at Stubblefield Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Williams and Rev. Robbie Drinnon officiating. The family will meet at Davidson Cemetery in Thorn Hill for interment at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Monday from at the funeral home prior to the service.

Elva Mae Coffey and Horace Thomas Hayes were married on 20 February 1942 in Greenville, Greenville Co., SC. Horace Thomas Hayes, son of William Nelson Hayes and Lydia Mahalia Hayes, was born on 16 February 1907. Horace died in Tennessee on 23 March 1968 and was buried at Mallicoat Cemetery in Thorn Hill, Grainger Co., TN in March 1968 .⁴⁵⁹⁸⁵
