LIVESAY, VINA MAE CARPENTER, age 79, of Bean Station, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005 at her home after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was a member of Barnards Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Nelson Livesay; parents, Hobart and Mattie Carpenter; and brother, Clay Carpenter. Survivors include her sons, Gary and Burley Livesay; daughters and sons-in-law, Cherrie and Steve Ivey and Shirley and Larry Buell, all of Bean Station; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Barbara Carpenter; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew; and a host of many friends and family. A special thanks to Morristown Hamblen Home Health and Hospice and A.L.P.S. Adult Day Services. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 in the chapel of Mayes Mortuary with the Rev. Gary Satterfield and the Rev. Dwight Wolfe officiating. The family will meet 10:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 in Meadow Branch Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, prior to the services at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to A.L.P.S. Adult Day Services, 600 N. Daisy St., Morristown, TN 37814. Arrangements by Mayes Mortuary in Morristown.

Vina Mae Carpenter and Roy Nelson Livesay were married. Roy Nelson Livesay was born on 13 September 1913 in Tennessee. Roy died in Grainger Co., TN on 11 September 2001 and was buried at Meadow Branch Cemetery in Bean Station, Grainger Co., TN in September 2001 .45943,45944
