Frank H. Coffey

Frank Henry Coffey, 59, of 609 D Street, died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday (May 5, 1977) in the King's Daughters' Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1917, in Augusta County, a son of the late Nelson and Lucy (Mutherspaw) Coffey. Mr. Coffey was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Ross Coffey; three foster children, William C. Glover, Mrs. Shirley Lotts, and Miss Brenda Ross, all of Staunton; two brothers, Lynwood Coffey of Alexandria and Charles Lee Coffey of Stuarts Draft; an aunt; and one foster grandson, Christopher Lotts. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Henry Funeral Home by the Rev. Cecil r. Hutching and the Rev. David Yancey. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Leo Bennet, Robert Lockridge, W. C. Simmons, Roland M. Fenwick, Ray Shover, Elza arbogast, John Weaver, and Rufus Vincent.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John H. Guss, Dr. McKeldon Smith, Robert Chandler, Harry Chandler, Ronnie Hawkins, Richard Bright, David Bright, and David Cox.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 until 9:00 o'clock
