FRONT ROYAL - Mabel (Coffey) Blakely, 76, of 419 Criser Road, died 4:35 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 5, 1991) at Warren Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 14, 1915 in Waynesboro, a daughter of Harry T. and Maggie (Snead) Coffey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mayfield K. Blakely, on Oct. 22, 1983.

Survivors include two sons, Mayfield K. Jr. of Strasburg and Harry James Blakely of Front Royal; a daughter, Betty B. Foster of Front Royal; one brother, Brainard Coffey of Waynesboro; a sister, Loretta Leslie of Waynesboro; one grandson, two granddaughters and one great granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by the Rev. Dennis Bradley. Burial will be at Mountain Top Christian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Earl Henderson, Ray Coffey, Steve Haley, Steve Coffey, Kenneth Coffey and Everett Cease. Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mabel Coffey and Mayfield Kinzer Blakely Sr. were married on 25 December 1936 in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA.30257 Mayfield Kinzer Blakely Sr., son of Samuel Blakely and May McCollic, was born on 18 September 1914 in Kingsport, Sullivan Co., TN. Mayfield died at Waynesboro Community Hospital in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA on 22 October 1983 of cardio insufficiency and was buried at Mountain Top Christian Church Cemetery in Love, Nelson Co, VA in October 1983 .30258,30259,30260,30261
