Rachel Walker Estate $20,000

Hillsboro, Or., Aug. 15.-(Special.) - An estate of $20,000 was left by Mrs. Rachel F. Walker, who died July 17 at her home on Beaverton route 2, it was revealed by a petition to probate her will which was filed today. Heirs include her daughter, Mrs. Lauretta G. Olds, Beaverton, route 2, and four grandchildren, Robert H. and Solomon Walker, Rickreall, Or.; Jack A. Walker, Dundee, Or., and Mary L. Seifarts, Salem.

The photograph on her collar appears to be one of her brother Alexander Bradford Coffey who who was killed in action near the end of the Civil War.

She was a twin of Henry.

Rachel Frances Coffey and Robert Hales Walker were married on 24 May 1871 in Knob Noster, Johnson Co., MO.4184 They4184 appeared in the census on 7 June 1880 at Beaver Dam Pct. in Washington Co., OR.4185 They4185 appeared in the census on 9 June 1900 in Washington Co., OR.4186 Robert Hales Walker, son of William E. Walker and Hannah , was born in March 1841 in Missouri. Robert died in Washington Co., OR on 26 February 1916 and was buried at Union Cemetery of Cedar Mill in Portland, Multnomah Co., OR in February 1916 .4187,4188

Pioneer of 1852 is Killed

Robert H. Walker, 75, Run Down by Oregon Electric at St. Marys

Robert H. Walker, one of the wealthiest men of Washington County, was killed instantly yesterday morning when he attempted to board a train for Portland at St. Marys. His course took him directly in front of the incoming Oregon Electric train, and he was thrown 40 feet by the impact.

Mr. Walker was an Oregon pioneer, 75 years old. Since 1852 his home had been in Oregon. He first became a resident of Portland, but later removed to Beaverton. He is survived by three children: Archie Walker of Beaverton; William Walker, of Portland, and Mrs. Samuel Olds, of Portland.
