1121. Cleveland McKendree Coffey was born on 6 January 1836 in Kentucky. He lived with his parents in Wayne Co., KY on 10 September 1850. He lived with his mother in Monticello, Wayne Co., KY on 1 June 1860. Cleveland lived with his mother in Monticello, Wayne Co., KY on 7 June 1880. He lived with his son-in-law, Lee Ingram in Oil Valley, Wayne Co., KY on 3 January 1920. Cleveland died of senility on 7 December 1921, age 85, in Monticello, Wayne Co., KY and was buried at Elk Springs Valley Cemetery in Oil Valley, Wayne Co., KY.4383,4384,4385

Obituary - Cleveland McKendree Coffey was born January 5th, 1836, and died December 7th, 1921, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lee Ingram.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church until about eight years ago, and at that time united with the Methodist church in Monticello.

He had suffered for many years but through all this he saw the hand of God and was submissive, expressing himself many times that he was ready to depart and be with Him who gave live.

He was laid to rest in Oil Valley Cemetery Dec. 8, at 2:30 p.m. in the presence of a large crowd. Bro. Baird, who had been a friend of Bro. Coffey's for some years, assisted Rev. Bedford Turnes, his pastor, in the service, which was held at the grave.

Cleveland McKendree Coffey and Mary Jane Elizabeth Coffey were married on 17 April 1887 in Wayne Co., KY. Mary Jane Elizabeth Coffey, daughter of Shelby Coffey and Zerilda Emarine Meadows, was born circa 1854 in Kentucky.
