1123. James Franklin Coffey was born on 8 January 1840 in Kentucky. He made his will on 26 September 1923 in Wayne Co., KY.4386

James left a lengthy will in which he names his grandsons, Franklin Oatts and William Henderson Coffey, both of whom, according to the language of the will are then under the age of 21, and Susan E. Coffey, widow of his son Pierson M. Coffey. He named W. L. Baker of Monticello and H. F. Hill of Lexington as executors and trustees for the property bequeathed to the two grandsons. The will was witnessed by J. C. Phillips and John R. Wilhite. The will was in probate in Wayne Co. on Nov. 3, 1930. James died of senility on 14 October 1930, at age 90, in Monticello, Wayne Co., KY and was buried at Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello, Wayne Co., KY on 16 October 1930.4387,4388

James Franklin Coffey and Louisa Jane Miller were married on 14 December 1869 in Wayne Co., KY.4389 They4389 appeared in the census on 8 June 1880 in Monticello, Wayne Co., KY.4390 Louisa Jane Miller, daughter of Absalom Miller and Hannah Bartleson, was born in 1840 in Kentucky. Louisa died in 1905 at the age of 65 in Kentucky and was buried at Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello, Wayne Co., KY.4391
