Mrs. Donald M. Coffey Sr.

Thomasville, Oct. 24 - Mrs. Lois Alma Coffey, 52, died at City Memorial Hospital Friday. She had been in declining health for six years.

Born in Gaston County, she had lived in Thomasville for the past two years. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors: Husband, Donald M. Coffey, Sr.; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jordan of Route 1, Haw River, Mrs. Carolyn Durham of Thomasville; two sons, Donald Coffey Jr. of the home and Gary Coffey of Elon College.

Funeral 4 p.m. Sunday, McLean Funeral Home in Gastonia.

Gary Reid Coffey, 40, of Rt. 7 died Sunday in N.C. Memorial Hospital, Chapel Hill, agter six weeks failing health. Funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at McClure Funeral Home, Graham, with burial in Alamance Memorial Park. He was a native of Gastonia and an employe of Annedeen Hosiery Mills.

Surviving are widow, Mrs. Dorothy Foust Coffey; son, Gary Eugene Coffey of the home; daughter, Mrs. Susan Daniell of Mebane; father, Donald Soffey [sic] of Rt. 1, Haw River; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jordan of Rt. 1, Haw River, Mrs. Carolyn Durham of Thomasville; brother Donnie Coffey of Thomasville.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7-9 today.

Donald Coffey Jr.

Donald McWill Coffey Jr., 71, of Lexington, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at his home.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Henry King.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington, and other times at the home.

Mr. Coffey was born on March 10, 1945, in Charlotte to Donald McWill Coffey Sr. and Lois Alma Williams Coffey. In addition to his parents, Mr. Coffey was preceded in death by brother Bud Coffey; and sister,Elizabeth Coffey Jordan.

Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Smith Coffey, of the home; three daughters, Donna Coleman (Michael), Brenda Jennings (Jesse), and Christy Thompson (Brian), all of Lexington; sister Carolyn Durham of Greensboro; and four grandchildren, Cody Morris, Kendall Coleman, David Gordon and Heather Garrett.
