Watson C. Coffey, Jr., 88, of Pioneer Trail, Cartersville, died Friday, May 15, 2009.
Mr. Coffey was born December 26, 1920 in Covington, Virginia, a son of the late Watson Coffey, Sr. and Lena Fitzgerald Coffey.

He was of the Baptist faith, a United States Marine veteran of World War Two, and a retired upholsterer. During his life Watson enjoyed bowling, camping and square dancing. He and his wife Doris were very active members of the Bartow Belles and Beaus.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Donahoo Coffey, his children, Watson C. (Chip) Coffey 111, and wife Cathy, of Jasper, Ronald D. Coffey and wife Kathy, of Macon and Patrick G. Coffey, and wife Marie, of Rome his sister, Marie Shipe, of Sunrise, Florida, grandchildren, Michael Coffey, Timothy Coffey, Chris Boring, April Fordham, Brian Coffey, and Terri Coffey and great grandchildren, Joshua Coffey, Nolan Coffey, Dakota Coffey, Caleb Fordham and Caroline Fordham.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 17, 2009, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Duvall and Tim Coffey officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Timothy and Brian Coffey, Charles Fordham, Joshua Coffey and Jonathan Blair. Honorary pallbearers will be W.C. Lowery, Harry Childers and Kenneth Coffey.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Saturday.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements.

Watson Commodore Coffey Jr. and Doris P. Donahoo were married. Doris P. Donahoo, daughter of Clarence Simpson Donahoo and Myrtle B. , was born on 26 October 1922 in Georgia. Doris died in Cartersville, Bartow Co., GA on 4 December 2014 and was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville, Bartow Co., GA on 7 December 2014 .43250,43251

Doris Donahoo Coffey, 92, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014.

Mrs. Coffey was born October 26, 1922, in Bartow County, the daughter of the late, Clarence, Sr. and Myrtle (Burdett) Donahoo and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was a member of the Allatoona Quilting Guild and she and her husband, Watson were members of the "Cartersville Belles and Bows" square dance group.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Watson C. Coffey, Jr.

Surviving are her sons, Watson (Chip) Coffey, III (Cathy Gaddis) of McDonough, Ga., Ronald D. (Don) Coffey (Kathy) of Macon, Georgia, Patrick G. (Pat) Coffey (Marie) of Rome, Georgia, grandchildren, Michael Coffey, Timothy Coffey, Chris Boring, April Fordham, Brian Coffey and Terri Blair, great grandchildren, Joshua Coffey, Nolan Coffey, Dakota Coffey, Caleb Fordham and Caroline Fordham.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 7, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Timothy, Brian, Jonathan and Joshua.

Honorary pallbearers are W.C. Lowry, Harry Childers and Kenneth Coffey.
