COFFEY, REV. TORRENCE AVERY, age 76, of Washburn, Tenn. was born Nov. 12, 1930, and passed away Jan. 15, 2007, at the University Of Tennessee Hospital. He was a member and former pastor of Bridgeport Baptist Church, Veteran of Korean War. Proceeded in death by his parents, Rev. Tarrence and Susan Rucker Coffey; sister, Kathleen Rucker; brothers-in-law, L.C. Rucker, Elvin Harrell, Lynn Dalton, James W. Long, Conley Coffman. He is survived by his sisters, Lillian Harrell of Thorn Hill, Tenn. Alta Coffman, Juanita Long, Delta Dalton all of Washburn, Tenn. Brothers, John S. (Sam) and wife Lena Faye Coffey of Thorn Hill, William and Mary Lou Coffey of Davisburg, MI. several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday night at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday Jan. 19, at the Bridgeport Baptist Church. Burial in the McGinnis-Harrell Cemetery with military honors. Ministers, The Rev. Dana Dalton and Rev. Charles (Chuck) Dalton; singers, Bridgeport singers, Pallbearers, nephews. Arrangements by Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell.
