1541	ii.	James Martin Coffey was born in 1837 in Indiana. James resided with his mother and step-father in Monroe Co., GA on 26 September 1850. James enlisted in Co. I, 22nd Indiana Infantry Regt. on 15 August 1861 at Bloomington, Monroe Co., IN.¹⁴¹¹ James died on 16 December 1861 at the age of 24 in Syracuse, Morgan Co., MO and was buried at Stout-Houston Cemetery in Ellettsville, Monroe Co., IN.¹⁴¹²
