William B.Coffey,age 77 of Route 1 Mooresburg,Tennessee passed away today,Thursday morning at Doctor's Hospital following a brief illness. He was a retired farmer and a native of Grainger County.

He was the son of the late John and Martha White Coffey.Survivors include his wife; Ora Harvel Coffey; three sons, Ristine (Fid) Coffey, Morristown,Tennessee, Kyle Coffey, Mooresburg, Tennessee and John Coffey, Bean Station,Tennessee. Five daughters, Viola (Rick) Ralph Hatfield, of Franklin,Ohio; Vioma (Oma) Floyd McKinney, Marion, Indiana; Eva Brooks of California and Brenda and Bonnie Coffey both of Mooresburg, Tennessee; one brother Charlie Coffey of Ohio and a sister Rennie Trent of Knoxville, Tennessee; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Westside Chapel,Rev.Joe Collins officiating.
Internment will be at Meadow Branch Cemetery at Bean Station.

The body remains at the funeral home where the family will receive friends on Saturday evening.

William Brownloe Coffey and Mary "Mollie" Young were married circa 1918 in Tennessee. They appeared in the census on 3 January 1920 in Grainger Co., TN.38071 Mary "Mollie" Young, daughter of George Young and Sarah Lee, was born on 14 March 1905 in Tazewell, Claiborne Co., TN. Mollie died on 19 February 1944 at the age of 38 in Middletown, Butler Co., OH and was buried at Franklin, Warren Co., OH.38072,38073

Mrs. Mary Young Bunch, 38, wife of Horace Bunch, died Saturday evening at the Middletown Hospital where she had been a patient for five weeks. A native of Claiborne County, Tennessee, Mrs. Bunch had resided in Franklin,Ohio for the last 5 months at 12 East Second Street.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at the Bethel Baptist Church followed by interment in Woodhill Cemetery. C.W. Unglesby was in charge of arrangements.

The husband and nine children survive.
Born March 14th,1905 in Tazewell, Claiborne County, Tennessee to George Young and Sarah (Sallie) Lee Young. She was one of a dozen children this couple were blessed with. She had five sisters; Addie, Effie, Emma, Lillie, and Lucy. Six brothers; Lillard (Buck), Charlie, Pierce, Henry, Matthew (Matt) and Eli.

She married William (Bill) Brownloe Coffey in Grainger County Tennessee and they had six children; Walter Chandler, Cecil G., John Henry, Viola (Rick) and Martha Vioma (Oma) and Martha J. She later re-married and had four children, Fern, Mary, Ruth and Paul. She worked at the Fibreware Co.in Franklin, Ohio. Mollie died as a result of complications after suffering a miscarriage on Feb.19th, 1944.

Walter Chandler "Chan" Coffey was born in 1920 in Thorn Hill, Grainger Co., TN. He lived with his paternal grandparents in Grainger Co., TN on 26 April 1930. Walter died on 28 August 2001 at the age of 81 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Washington Co., TN and was buried at Coffey Ridge Cemetery in Unicoi, Unicoi Co., TN.38074

Chandler Coffey, 82, 700 Milligan Highway, Johnson City, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 28, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Coffey was a native of Grainger County, Tenn. He was of the Protestant faith and was a retired worker from the Dawn of Hope Workshop.

Survivors include a sister, Bonnie Coffey, Greeneville, and a niece, Vickie Smith, Greeneville.

COFFEY -- Graveside services for Chandler Coffey, 82, 700 Milligan Highway, Johnson City, who died Tuesday, August 28, 2001, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 31, at Coffey Ridge Cemetery, Unicoi, with the Rev. Ross Lindley officiating.

Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Correll and David Morrison. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Friday for the graveside service.

Coffey and a great-grandson Rickey Coffey as well as many other relatives. She had two sons;Ristine (Fid) Coffey of Morristown, Tennessee; Kyle Coffey of Mooresburg,

Tennessee and step-son John Coffey of Bean Station, Tennessee. Three daughters; Eva Jean Brooks of California; Bonnie Sue Coffey of Green Valley, Tennessee and Brenda Rea Coffey of Mooresburg.Tennessee. Two Step-daughters Viola (Rick) (Ralph) Hatfield,of Franklin, Ohio; Vioma (Oma) (Floyd) McKinney, Marion, Indiana;.One sister Hester White of Franklin,Ohio. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services were at 2 p.m. today at the Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown, Tennessee with the Rev. Clifford Dalton officiating. Burial was in Meadow Branch Cemetery is Bean Station Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by both his parents; Sisters, Addie Viola (Rick) Hatfield, Franklin, Ohio, Martha Sloan, Bellefountaine, Ohio; Brother Walter Chandler of Johnsonville,Tenn. and his son Rickie Edward Coffey;

He is survived by a Daughter; Vickie Smith of Greenville (Grainger County) Tennessee; Grandchildren,Travis West and Ricky and Joann Coffey. Special friends Larry Coffey and Elmer Grisham. Brothers Ristine, of Morristown,Tennessee and John of Bean Station,Tennessee. Sisters, Vioma (Oma) (Floyd) Mckinney, Marion, Indiana; Eva Brooks of Calif., Bonnie and Brenda both of Mooresburg,Tennessee.

Burial is in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Morristown,Tennessee.

EIDSON -- Brenda Mae Coffey, age 52, Eidson, died Friday, June 1, 2001, at Wellmont Hawkins County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ora Harville Coffey.

She is survived by her foster parents of six and a half years, Earl and Sharon Borton, Eidson; two sisters, Bonnie Coffey, Greeneville, Eva Brooks and husband Joe of Florida; four brothers, Kyle Coffey, Bean Station, Ristine Coffey, Morristown, John Coffey, Bean Station, Chandler Coffey, Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bob East officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
