COFFEY, MR. CLESTER - age 80, of New Tazewell, was born Oct. 21, 1919 and passed away March 12, 2000 at Claiborne County Hospital. He was a member of Straight Creek Baptist Church. He worked at Claiborne County Hospital for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tilmon and Susie Parker Coffey; wife, Bertha Coffey; brother, Joe Coffey; and sister, Ethel Hudson. He is survived by daughters, Mary Ann McGuffee of Enterprise, La., Ella Faye Coffey of New Tazewell; son, Nathan Coffey of New Tazewell; daughter, Susie Earls of New Tazewell; son, Homer Coffey of Harrogate; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Ada Pressnell of Tazewell, Pearl Haun of White Pine, Bertha Matthews of Knoxville; brothers, Floyd Coffey of Tazewell, Lloyd Coffey of Dandridge; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tues. March 14, 2000 Coffey Funeral Home Chapel at Tazewell. The body will lie in state 30 minutes before services. Burial in the Irish Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends 7-9 Monday at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Ministers: Rev. Jimmy Poore, Rev. Herbert Rosenbalm, Rev. Johnny Parker. Singers: Wayne and Barbara Yoakum. COFFEY, MR. HOMER DALE - age 52, of Harrogate, Tenn., was born May 2, 1949, and passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville. He was a dedicated Member and Deacon of Riverside Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clester and Bertha Coffey; mother-in-law, Ruth Cosby, and brother-in-law, Rufus Earls. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Coffey; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Rev. Johnny Parker; son, Michael Coffey, all of Harrogate, Tenn.; sisters, Mrs. Durrell (Mary Ann) McGuffee of Enterprise, Ind., Ella Faye Coffey, and Susie Earls; brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Emma Coffey, all of Tazewell, Tenn.; father-in-law, Millard Cosby of Harrogate, Tenn.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Brenda Cosby of Tazewell, Tenn.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wilma and Jim Lambert of Radcliff, Ky., and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, Tenn. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2001, at the Riverside Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Popular Grove Cemetery in Harrogate, Tenn., with Military Honors. Coffey Funeral Home, in charge.
